Fare Thee Well…

A bottle of wine was tossed in the air,
Letting it drain out in the form of tears,
My emotions oscillated in every cheer,
For I am losing a person in my heart so dear.
The laughter resonated from depths of wall,
As the sky kept weeping in every sensual fall,
I staggered from one table to another one,
Tapping, smiling, and laughing are devoid of fun.
My heart bounced ‘wanting’ to escape,
As sadness swirled deeply in my chest,
Clinking glasses and falling ice-cube,
Brought back my feelings and rescued.
Dimly lit bulbs spoke hundreds of times,
As a mirage of syrupy whisky shone in dine,
Every sip of fermented wine sank down,
Flooding the throat, like the rain in town.
Drenching in the rain of my wildest thoughts,
Kept watching those bustling roads,
Swallowing my sentiments along with the wine,
I looked ashen in every tick of time.
The door of departure got unbolted widely,
For whom I couldn’t hold so gently,
I shook my trembling hands with hidden breaths,
As I wept secretly passing by the gate.
The hurricane of departure blew my unkept hair,
The ocean of memories streamed down in tears,
Words got choked and I couldn’t talk more,
So, in loneliness I walked home in releasing downpour.
