Dare Not!

Dare not break my silver net

raindrops!

I have woven this tapestry

with so much care and love

I perspire, persevere

push myself till completely tattered

yet show no sign of fatigue

for I love tasks both daunting and arduous

my pace and space are dear to me

and I am firmly perched on the adjacent tree

my cousin lives next to me

she has a sturdy web world to entice

we wave and speak to each other

share tidbits about day’s chore

the exuberance and limitless joy

that we are entwined with

is perhaps by the blessings of god

when silhouette of the modest hut

captures the stillness of the sprawling lake

darkness walks slowly

teeming with sunset

and the birds get back to their nests in haste

to rest and recuperate

I sprawl myself  on my bed of net

but not before singing hymns

In praise of the ultimate.
