We were together
But were caged on our assumptions
Thought that I don’t deserve the love of yours
And you were caged on a belief that you don’t match with the personalities that I lived with

We were pierced on our own memories
That has carved the mark of horrendous stories
Neither it was your fault
Nor I could do anything

Though we were there for each other’s wounds
And felt the pain of each other’s soul
But couldn’t come together with petals
That could have scented our insecurities

Oh the heart was always there waiting for you
Oh the soul was always in need of your presence in full
But couldn’t be together joining the sentiments
That was pierced with past histories
