The greed that humans breed,
is beyond what the world can feed;
while we are confused in between wants and need,
we silently remain a watchdog as the Earth bleeds.

We have never known the limit,
be it wants or need, for self or others;
we simply kept yearning to grab every single  grain,
even at the cost of others’ pain.

We tow our shame in the darkness,
and put our greed at the forefront,
forgetting someone’s life is being ruined,
to serve the hungry devil in us, “Greed”.

Imagine, a leader without greed,
his colleagues would rise equally with the leader;
there would be no corruption but absolute transparency,
and abundance of a smile with contentment.

Imagine, the humans without greed,
we wouldn’t see the horrors that we see every day;
The world would be much peaceful and tranquil
if greed is thrown away like a weed.

Without greed, humans will be kind to each other,
there will be more friends than the enemy,
every place on Earth will be heaven,
love, happiness, compassion, and peace will be the gift they will offer to the world.

We have watched enough of the world bleed,
we have ruined plenty of others life,
we have robbed others of happiness, peace, love, and freedom,
now is the time to weed out our greed and feed others’ needs.
