Journey

I love to travel

Lofty mountains and green valleys

Seas and forests

Roads beckon

Paths disappear in deep woods

And I wander

Aimlessly without a care.

Now times are different

I journey within

Through unknown passages and dark alleys

Crevices and abysses

Slippery and fatal

Solitary…

As I meander I feel

Tranquility descending

A calm previously unknown

I need never leave

For I know I have reached

Safety and shelter

Home… Soul …my final destination.
