Star

I only gaze at one star

among many.

I only look at one sky

among yours and mine.

Rest of the stars are miracles

of uncountable sight.

They hide away from my observation

while I am busy

gazing at one star.

Like the whole white moon

they hide from my sight

and they also open like the widely opened

dark sky.

I gaze the singularities in the wide sky like

a devotee bowing his head

to the one statue

omnipresent in the temple.

I am paying my homage to the star

for being many and yet one.
