They rode into the valley of death
Like Tennyson’s soldiers in
Charge of the Light Brigade
They peered neither to their left nor to their right
Their sole mission was to safeguard the territory
They landed straight into the jaws of death
Little were they aware traitors in the garb of humanity
Waited like hungry wolves, foxes and jackals to tear them apart
Like the wild panther they slyly pounced upon them
And
Swallowed them up without remorse
Shame, shame, utter shame on these treacherous devils
The innocent soldiers left their homes in a happy frame of mind
They were the proud children of a mother who bid them safe return
Their young wives stood in a corner shedding silent tears
Praying for their safe return
Mixed with proud feelings for their husbands
Who guarded the Nation’s territories so we might sleep in peace?
Children born, unborn restless in their mother’s womb
Consoled their mothers kicking and struggling to embrace
Them, to clutch and hold, to wipe their silent, trickling tears
You never know when they will again avail a holiday to be with their families
The draped devils in waiting as sly as the fox
Charged like the Light Brigade
Animals in waiting to devour and crush innocent lives
Bodies splashed in blood
Headless, handless, legless, faceless
Charred and ‘bulleted’
No recognition of the deceased
Whose children were they?
Humanity cried, humanity died
Wolves rejoiced
Wolves survived
Wolves raised their flags of joy
Wolves hid like moles in the dust
Forgetting
From dust we come
To dust we must return
Justice is not far off
India has never failed
India will rise like a Giant
To avenge the loss of life
Suffered by the Nation
Suffered by the mothers
Suffered by the wives
Suffered by the children
Suffered by their sisters
Who will never, never behold their brave fathers
The mothers’ their sons, the wives their loving husbands
The Nation Cries
We want Justice
Long live our Jawans
You have not lost your lives in vain
You live in our hearts forever,
Long live our brave soldiers
Long live India, Jai Bharat Mata

It’s a very touching poem. The greatest of the great loss that we have suffered especially their (Jawans) loved ones is both unforgivable as well as unforgettable. May the Lord give the bereaved ones the strength to bear this terrible vacuum created in their life by such a terrible heinous act. Jai Hind
