Negligence

Without a thought or care

We saw them polluting the rivers

We saw them felling good trees

With glee and lots of fanfare

We saw them blasting virgin hills

To widen roads for conveniences

We knew they’re cutting the jungles

To make buildings for residences

We saw all harmful human follies,

Did not heed or couldn’t care less

Till nature felt violated and pained

With ignorant people making a mess

Reaching the breaking point at last

The nature finally rebelled

With floods, storms and landslides

A blow to the humans it dealt

We suffer for our apathy, greed,

Selfishness and ignorance

We pay a heavy price for our

Indifference and negligence

Lets wake up from pernicious sleep,

Restore nature’s vanished treasure

Only then we will survive and

Live on earth with peace and pleasure

  1. Awareness well created!
Often we forget the truth behind ” For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!”
Nowadays reactions do seem unequal, in that it’s not proportional, but far exceeds what the nature has in fact suffered!
It’s realization stage we may not ignore!
