Poetry

The Tame,The Dumb And The Wild

Last eve the road was built;

The ugliness covered….

It looked satiated with mortar

Its prettiness rewarded

With a brushing broom

That leavened its uneven surface.

Dusk set in to curb its glory

Night, to cover and bake its chastity

 Sunrise set the clock back.

The tame, the dumb and the wild

Ruined its glory,

Mercilessly walking upon it

Stamping it with cruel intention

Wild and uncontrolled

They rashly drove on…

The dogs were shooed away

So were the ‘sheepish’ cows

But those who betrayed

Were the tamed and the educated

Devoid of civic sense and responsibility

They enjoyed their constitutional rights

That empowered freedom lovers

To use and abuse…
