A Classroom Jumanji

The teacher emerged

Whole class stood

in silence,

Some in reverence

and some mere imitation.

Teacher chalked out

portions to be taught,

using all her sources-

book, board, imagination.

Started the spell,

she rolled the die.

There started jumanji.

She knew her students well.

All in front of her,

Some writing all

Out of teacher’s mouth.

Others reveling in their world.

Among her gems

there were

Globetrotters,

Fashionistas,

Gypsies,

Ghost whisperers,

Athletes,

Daydreamers,

Actors,

Wrestlers,

Peacemakers,

Politicians-

All merely sitting

in her front

as students.

The bell rung.

A huge air of

escape among gems.

Teacher went out:

An ease of air

surrounding many.

They started a yell

And entered

To their worlds.
