Stages of Life

Stages of life

are like slices

the tender one that houses childhood

is full of innocence

filled with aimless drifts and carefree ways

The ripe one

perched in the middle

handles growth and stability

eyes career and prominence

one rises the rung and engineers agility

indulges in worldly pleasure and material things

The mellowed one

solicits composure

delves deeper to elicit

the tryst between human life and nature

wields reins of mind’s eye

introspects and meditates

paints a sublime model of the divine

and surrenders to the ways of the supreme.
