Freedom

Freedom, I say freedom.
From all the things,
that I abide by.
Those that call itself,
the Rules of civilization.

The rules which say;
lie looking in the eye of a friend.
and states a true friend stands by,
through thick and thin.

The nature’s rule which teaches us,
a scorpion’s nature is to sting its foe or friend.
Turn back the pages and learn my dear fellow.

The very rules which,
tie my tongue and use,
the rules of societal norms
and the path of polite, civilized nature.
to oppress the soul.

The rules which tell me,
to paste a smile
on a parched and broken mask.
And has the audacity to;
call it happiness and…
me a civilized human being.
Freedom, I say
Freedom, let me free.
