Sublime Pedagogy

There’s no greater teacher
than life
Samuel Johnson once said,
“I suffered from impaired eyesight,
depression and poverty
and left Oxford
without a degree.”
His lessons inspired the likes
of Alexander Pope and TS Eliot
for he scribed chapters inspired
from the theme of fate
the same Shakespeare who is studied in umpteen universities; never went to any university himself
was it a miracle or a glimpse
of destiny’s pedagogy
for the greatest dramatic
ever to write.
