Freedom

‘Twas a marriage of convenience

Absolutely against my will

Lacking completely in the thrill

For me, it had not much credence

Life was dark with no radiance

I was caught in worst tedium

Almost lost my mind and wisdom

Finally, I turned back the clock

Ended that disastrous wedlock

And gained my much-needed freedom
