The Fragrance of Solitude

The fragrance of solitude is addictive.
Like petrichor emanating from the sodden earth.
The fragrance of solitude is moreish.
Rote learning the semantics of wilderness with precision.
The fragrance of solitude is delectable,
licking monsoon stains from tired palms.
The fragrance of solitude is wistful,
remembrance pouring from frigid veins.
The fragrance of solitude is liberating,
Walking out of a hicksville into a peaceful periphery.
The fragrance of solitude is tranquil,
asphalt poems peeping through rainbows and strawberry breaths.
The fragrance of solitude is nostalgic,
Old romantics walking past the dark alleys of memories.
Memories that have become Poltergeist.
The fragrance of solitude is resurrecting
after being annihilated by existence.
The fragrance of solitude is liberating.
Looking for answers in a chaotic world.
