Survivor

I can do anything my love

though cannot do everything

I can fly away from you

Though you have clipped my wings

You do not know the power

Of my mind and will

You may have fatal weapons

I have paper and a quill

A pen is mightier than

A sword or a knife

He, who believes in violence,

Does not value his life

I’m a poet and an artist,

I dance and sing melodious songs

I look feeble, delicate, and frail,

Actually, I am very strong

I’ve been through many adversities,

I  have  passed  many   fire  tests,

In my present existence

My grit and verve are manifest

There is a passion and a flame,

Burning inside my core,

That wouldn’t let me ever die

I am a real survivor.
