The Human Termite

Pensively she sat, wondering..
No matter how well..
One is mentally prepared
Yet..like a rock..
Death stands challenging
One’s peace of mind
Entrapping & dumping it in a …
Fathomless sea of unnerving thoughts!
Irrespective of
How good/bad the person was
Especially a close one
It weighs on your mind
Pondering over..
Why you, the bereaved one, had to suffer
In the worst possible way because of..
The selfish, inhumane, monstrous ones
Who used you ruthlessly for …
Their enjoyment & pleasure
Never ever did they think of you
As a human being…
They believed in toying with your feelings
Mentally & physically torturing you
Smiling with sadistic contentment!
Harsh cruelty reserved for you alone
Yet considered to be …
An innocent, sweet tongued, gentle human being!
Others he/she could easily fool
For well hidden lay the devil
That woke up in the quiet of their room
Pouncing violently in a mad frenzy with..
The sole desire of murdering the unimpeachable for..
His / her secret was now out in the open
It frightened the life out of the fraudulent!
Superb actors such people are!
Man supersedes Chameleons
In changing colours in a jiffy!
Such human termites feed on the innocent ones
Hollowing them to the core!
‘The Day of Judgement’
Erased from their memory
They gloat foolishly on their temporary victory
Only to be finally thrown into the fire of hell!

  1. Sad and fearsome !

  2. what people sow, the reap.
demonic indeed… as deep as the dead sea
    human nature at its worst

well written and exposed the skeletons in the cupboard of human nature Mrs Bannore

  3. O K R Sivagnanam

Humans stand for the humane aspect that sets them apart from the rest of other living beings….but alas, they have become cruel and treat their fellow beings like nothing!
For sure, we aren’t made to this end, and are expected to be really humane, never intending any harm to anything and anyone!

  4. Thanks Ms Misra, Ms Diwakar & Mr Shivagnanam for your beautiful comments. Let’s hope & pray that we become better human beings than what we are today & learn to respect others as we would want them to respect us.
