What is the purpose of living?

If we are living just for self-feeding

Increasing burden on nature

Until from earth, we face departure.

What is the purpose of living?

If we do not learn art of giving,

If we cannot give up craving,

To tiny adversity, we keep grieving.

What is the purpose of living?

If we do not learn art of forgiving,

Holding grudge and aversions

For foes, friends or loved persons.

What is the purpose of living?

If we have no heart of helping,

If love and kindness is not our passion

Futile is life without compassion.

What is the purpose of living?

If we don’t have the art of forgiving.

Carrying the load of repulsion

Living with lack of positive impulsion.
