The Eternal Child

There  is  an

Adventurous,

Happy  child

Inside  me

So  what  if  I  am  infirm

Outside  me

Getting  on  in  age, yet

Survival  instinct  keeps

Revived  me

Often  intimidated

By  dark  clouds  and

Tempests

I  take  refuge

In  prayer  and

Rainbows

Hide  me

Unscathed,

I  come  out,

Start  playing

With  glee  and

Vivacity

Even  with  the

Failing  vision

Dance  around

In  gaiety

The  angels

Guide  me

I  have  a

Naughty  child

Inside  me
