Poverty Taught Me Value

A teenaged boy  could realise that

‘mind is like water as meditation

is like ice,’ but anxiety and worry,

suffering and gloom are flowing in life.

As long as an individual keeps

young mind, he feels age is no barrier.

He walks in silence, keeps himself under

control and remain patient.

He could realise that everything

in life has a purpose.

Sometimes, he feels that life is tender, like

a lotus and hard like a thunderbolt.

Everyone must live a life free from tension

and forget who committed the wrong.

He had suffered during his crucial

childhood, however, the poverty taught

him to value the important things in life.
