My WhatsApp displayed, ??
“You deleted this message”
Fourteen times in fourteen boxes
Neatly huddled up
One below the other.
Green coloured coffins
Contain corpses of
my first thoughts,
obliterated by my second thoughts
And even a third.
My molten memories flowed-
Your yellow winking emoji glowed, ?
Spitting a red hot heart that
Went missing in vagaries and
My mobile heart, ❤
rendered immobile…
You remember how in
white coloured boxes
filled with your misty fizz,
you searched for my
scorched tongue?
They lay hidden in the
heaviness of your “online” silences
But
suddenly, a ringtone beeps,
and I take a flight
after midnight,
to a virtual village
of our choice and we
braid the earth and breed some love,
while still upon my screen
my WhatsApp displays,
fourteen green coffins of
“You deleted this message”!

This poem of mine doesn’t end here. It has a climax part too which is cut short here. For the half poem published here, thank you!
