Teacher

 Molder of excellent minds,

good habits and attitudes;

an instrument of the creation

of successful professionals

A noble profession as everybody says

untiring services to learners

are what they can always see

without pretensions and mediocrity

No other profession you would see

works are not done from eight to five

daily lesson logs and planning till dawn

and still manages to teach the following day.

When will you ever see

their worth and immeasurable sacrifices

constant follow-up of learners

both in the classroom and home

All we ask is a little love and understanding

to give what they truly deserve

decent pay and benefits

that they long to achieve.

    A true echo of a teacher’s expectation!

A noble profession is indeed of a teacher, though he cannot be expected to say no to the monetary rewards for their service to humanity!

He/she creates excellent professionals in various fields, with themselves always remaining as teachers in the lower rung of the ladder ever welcoming the students with a nice smile decorating their face!

Not to recognize them is a big threat to the society as a whole!

    • I truly agree with the views of the poet as well as Mr Sivagnanam. It’s very true that teachers don’t really get their due especially school teachers. Infact they aren’t respected too & many people look down upon school teachers. They seem to forget without school teachers how would anyone get higher education & jobs. School teachers make strong foundation for the future of one’s life.

  2. Thank you so much Dr. Luzviminda G. Rivera for this exemplary tribute to all teachers. I really love and like it to the max. Keep shining your best!
