I ventured out lonely
Sans caravan or companion
Angry with world for no reason
I was in a mood for rebellion,
Sunshine felt scorching,
Moonlight made me sad,
Droplets of rain irritated me
Spring season was bad,
My frenzied, foul mood took me
To a desolate, arid land
As far as my eyes could see,
It was a vast expanse of sand.
I forgot all resentment,
Recollected warmth of the sun,
The beauty of moonlight,
The times I had fun.
The realization worked as
An oasis I badly needed,
Drank ambrosia of love, and
Went happily mad, inebriated.
