Poetry

A Painted Sun

There was solitude and gloom  around

The firmament was grayish dark

Devoid of charm and beauty of colours

Like  an  empty  canvas  stark

I brought out my palette and brush

Painted a red Sun on the horizon

Breath taking picture did it make

Rising majestically out of the ocean

At once the universe began to shine

With a divine, ethereal  glow

Eliminating cheerless darkness

Displaying a dazzling  show

Changing  hues from red to white

As the Sun began  gaining height

Filled the world with warmth of love

Nature’s charisma full of delight

  1. O K R Sivagnanam

    Darkness implies lack of life!
    There’s no beauty!
    Everything appears bleak!
Groping in the dark leads us nowhere!
    It’s hell of a time!

    BUT

Once the sun begins to send its bright rays,
    everything changes for the better!
    Spirit of life emerges!
    Happiness is around everywhere!

  2. It’s a beautiful poem!
