Humanity Does Not Have An Immigration Status

Dear Reader,

We are saddened by recent shooting at Olathe, Kansas. Our prayer goes to deceased victim Mr. Srinivas Kuchibhotla and his family, we also wish speedy recovery of Mr. Alok Madasani and Ian Grillot, the hero who courageously, in face of grave danger, risked his own life to save someone else. Mr. Grillot represents the vast majority of people that I have met in my experience in United Sates, we should reflect on his bravery and compassion for fellow human being and not on the attacker’s hate. I think and believe, The person who pulled the trigger does not represent America in any way.

But let’s come together to fight this paranoia and fear, color of skin, faith, or immigration status should not be a reason to persecute someone. I have written this before and will write it again, what laws US government want to make in regards to immigration is its own business but it also have a responsibility to protect the immigrants living on its soil, to give a safe environment to foreign nationals and their families. If you don’t like someone you can show them the door, don’t point gun at them. I don’t know what assailant got by taking a husband away from his wife or a son from his parents.

Compassion, Empathy, Humanity can be shown regardless of immigration status.
