The Fiends

They assembled for celebrations

Unaware, fiends were on the watch

Treacherously hidden in a truck

That rolled on the streets like the devil

The eagles and hawks confined inside

Armed and saddled with deadly bombs

Hungry for human blood like vampires

Driven out of graves to suck and bleed

Innocent lives

 These depraved psychos

Inhuman to the core run off scot- free

To dig into the earth and hibernate

After their deadly deed

These moles are inhuman

Their ferocious teeth and wretched brain

Eggs them on to tear apart humanity

Animals do not kill unless hungry

Unlike these maniacs

Who are always hungry for human blood?

Oh, Lord! Where is thy poetic justice?

  1. Life these days has become very unpredictable. We can never be sure whether we will return home or not once we step out of the house. Dr Shobha has very vividly painted a picture of this situation in her poem
