The Slum

No need for fantasy, concepts or possessions

No ugly scenarios, nice gestures or bad investments

No right ifs, wrong not’s or in between

Here in the slum, it’s all a quest to live thru the day

No false hopes, faiths or despair

No hard feelings, emotions or passions

No pun intended or wrong assumptions

Here in the slum, it’s all a quest to survive the night

No need for assertions that gives no gain

No need for fights that yields no score

No need for greed that leaves you empty

Here in the slum it’s just a quest to see another day
