Life is a tenant on this earth!
It has to vacate it
The moment it’s lease expires!
No one can over stay,
It’s the unfailing law of nature,
All wrapped up in an unsolved mystery.
But is it fair?
Is there an escape from its clutches?
The lucky ones
Give it a slip or two!
But are they always lucky?
Is God partial towards some?
In our moment of a great loss-
We innocently question even God,
The kind and benevolent Supreme Being.
Death, undoubtedly takes a soul
But that’s not its victory!
The departed soul is triumphant
Being relieved of untold miseries and sufferings
Undertaking a journey to a better world!
Our birth, like the rising sun
Spreads radiance all around!
Each new day is a step towards
Our final destination, ‘The Heavenly Abode’
The land of selfless love and happiness
That we aspire for!
So, fear not Death,
It is from here that like a phoenix
We’ll rise again in the eastern sky
Of some life!
So bid farewell to all dear departed souls
Not only with tears and a heavy heart
But with boundless love
And a silent prayer for the soul to rest in peace!

mysteries of life are unbelievable yes life and death are two sides of the same coin yes death is painful the bereaved mourn the loss though over the years the pain seems to ease but like volcanic eruption tears you apart yet this is the reality of life Whitman rightly observed in his Leaves of Grass that “death is not the end of life it is the beginning….”
