A time there was when a king and a queen
Lived a happy life amongst the green
God blessed them with a bouncy boy
Who added extra thrill and joy
Soon the passing year rolled by
Another bouncy boy arrived
As the two together grew
There arrived a pretty baby too
Now the family was complete
Everyone waited for a treat.
Many, many years skipped by
Someone cast an evil eye
The peaceful happiness was gone
When a girl arrived in town
Her winking eyes, her chubby cheeks
Drowned the tired kingly sleep
Night and day, the telephone rang
Will you save me from a bad boys’ gang?
Yes, the answer rang so true
Soon he was caught in the false trap too
The fatal marriage bells soon rang
Next day she ran and joined the gang
In later years another came
Wrapped in disguise and joined the fray
She ruled and ordered the king and queen
Move out now, or I will write your requiem.
The King was humiliated shut up too
Puzzled he knew not what to do
The tears she shed were faked up too.
The second came no difference came
Lives were strained it was the same
The parents escaped the game was same.
That left the aged king and the queen
Trussed up and bound to their chair
Now nothing remained to raise their hair.
Roped to a devil of a boy
The baby cried her life was sore
Drunk in ego, pride and whim
He tossed the kids to gain and swim
Marriages they say are made in heaven
If they break, they are not broken.
Fame and fortune follow trail
If you do not raise your tail.
Life is a game, play it well
Or you shall be dumped into the well
Not all is well that ends not well
Money matters just go to hell.

It’s a very beautiful & a touching poem, an eye opener to all. No one knows when our relations with our loved ones will turn sour & become unbearable making life one hell. That’s a very sad affair of life!
well written good satire and irony
