Fathers … an Epitome of Love

You broke rules and paved the way
For a better future for your progeny
Plucked thorns selected stars
And made us what we are today

Like rock, you were always there
Shielding us from worldly oceans lashes
Like rustling leaves and branches we swayed
You like banyan tree took our wear

Whenever  we used to falter
You were there to correct and alter
Reshape and rebuild all thing
And make them look brighter

A disciplined one full of energy and vigour
Never did you miss a deadline
Nor allowed anyone to bent that rule
Made everyone fall in line

A royal demeanour you always carried
Gave us the best of what the world offered
How I wish you would come back
And see how alone in the world I ferried
