Safe Harbour

Earlier it was ‘She’,

Who would caress & behold.

Circumstances didn’t allow,

For her to raise me & mold.

Time went by,

Looking at the sky,

Wishing to fly,

To be in her lap, to hide & fold.

Sobbing went on & on,

Nobody cared less,

I doubted those who I looked upon.

Standing on the other side now,

Way beyond recovery,

The harbour has changed,

And I’m out of all the slavery.

It’s still “She”,

But intangible.
