The Graveyard Rose

A rose that blooms in a graveyard

Is never considered fragrant.

Scarlet, elegant and delightful

A blossom who’s always vibrant.

Never utilised to make bouquets

Can never be gifted to beautiful brides.

Nor put in wreaths for deceased

What a pity life it has!

Grown gleaming in the corner

No existing souls to glorify.

The beauty never noticed by a mourner

Stood unwanted without an adorer.
