    In the backyard

    Tall and alluring

    Never ceases

    To amaze me

   Looking up

   To the sky

    Yet humble

   Roots deep down

   Holding strong

   Branches wide

   Guards the night

    Welcome the dawns

    Singing love songs

    The dainty leaves

    Eagerly wait

    For the summer breeze

    Falls in love

    With the summer sun

     Gets pregnant

     With the sun’s seeds

     Blooms

     Into a thousand flowers of love.
