Life of a Farmer

Rising before the sun’s ray touches the ground
Before the birds start making a chirping sound
They reach to work on their ground
To prepare their field and around

With much expectations, they sow the seed
Of the cereals of verities of breed
Based on the farmers need
And protect them from the weeds

When the field they work in is far
The challenge they face to care
Harvesting all their yield is rare
As animals take their share

From the break of the dawn till the dark
Crepuscular animals keep them strained
From the dusk till the dawn
Nocturnal animals keep them drained

If they are late to reach their field
They lose their years of yield
To the variety of intruder waiting
To feast with their crops, it’s baiting
