Why in the air of the modern Twenty-First Century,

the mantra of “Save Girls, Educate Girls’’ repeatedly keeps on chanting?

It is just to strongly highlight the hypocrisy of patriarchal society.

We all are aware that women are the source, creator, and power.

But for the birth of a baby girl, there will hardly be a shower of flowers.

Recently people accepted it with an artificial smile,

Celebrate with cosmetic dialogue keeping sadness inside.

Even in some of the educated families, girls are blamed for that,

as if not producing an heir is her crime of act.

Woman gives birth, bearing nine months of pain,

maintaining a household and outside job with a smiling face.

She tries her best to bloom the bud to flower and to fruit,

but she will be taken for granted against all odds with no credit.

Any branded product will have the tag of the manufacturer,

then no reason is there to brighten Father’s name everywhere,

keeping the salient backbone of the family unrecognised sufferer.

Why in the air of the modern Twenty-First Century,

the mantra of “Save Girls, Educate Girls’’ repeatedly keeps on chanting?

It is just to strongly highlight the hypocrisy of patriarchal society.

Most of the girls grow up within Lakshman Rekha,

drawn and controlled by their parents and elder genera.

Girls dreams and wishes wipe out under Mom’s cocoon,

maximum efforts are invisible to help them to pursue.

Tremendous pressure for marriage will be there from all angles of society

when the flowers are spreading their fragrance in twenty to thirty.

Cruel society starts assessing only based on her beauty,

measuring in the scale of colour and glow.

The stream of qualification and credentials runs in the backflow.

Either negotiation or love marriage, hardly any value exists for a girl’s quality.

Most of the parents never try to understand daughter’s mentality,

In negotiation, degree, job, the cast of the boy will be the yardstick of compatibility.

Why in the air of modern Twenty First century,

the mantra of “Save Girls, Educate Girls’’ repeatedly keeps on chanting?

It is just to strongly highlight the hypocrisy of patriarchal society.

Even if girls are educated and self-dependant,

Are they treated equally with care, justice, and respect?

Now also Newspaper stains with lots of inhuman rape cases.

Government should proceed with fast and strict action of punishment,

instead of blaming girl’s freedom of movement and their dresses.

Parents should take care properly of their son’s mental nourishment.

The girls are to be quoted with images of sacrifice, compromise, and patience.

But they do not want these unnecessary, unrecognized verbal words.

They should be rewarded with the utmost care, love, and regard.

Girls are more powerful, balanced, adjustable human beings.

In family, society, and in their profession mostly their presence is trustworthy.

At the present blow of wind is waving the flag of freedom of educated women existence.

In some cases, it is difficult for preconceived society to admit that acceptance.

There will be a fear of losing control and dominance.

Girls too also draw the line of understanding and balance.

The title of education should not be the outcome of selfish arrogance.

Indian society should change their outlook.

Open-minded people should turn to the fresh page of a new book.

Hope girls should be the emblem of Indian tradition, culture, and values.

Rays of trust and confidence should reflect through the rainbow with all bright hues.

  2. Wonderful, thought provoking but the hard reality of our society. The degree may be less in developed nations- but an underlying discrimination continues.

  3. Wow.. hard facts very nicely expressed madam
