As the pink hues in the sky turn to pitch black
The ever-present claws in my head gnaw hard
Nausea swirls its way up through my stomach
And my lungs get blocked by a glass shard
The person in the mirror is not me but
Her hollow eyes and ashen face match mine
I scramble away and seek refuge in blankets
For I know I’ll never ever be fine
While I sit among them with a smile carved into my face
The stinging wounds on my arms remind me of pain
A dark abyss draws my mind to it like moth to flame
I see no escape as I get sucked in brutally into the darkness
Blood seeps out as I slice into the raw flesh of my wrist
Pain blinds my vision but I cannot cry because this is only a gist
Trauma breaks apart my fragile mortal frame
And builds walls round to ensure my stay
Devoid of life and looks, I’m now only a name
At once, the darkness echoes with evil laughter
For I surrender my life to it and hold my breath
As my eyes flutter for a knight called ‘death’

Veey nice poem
The poem is very well written. The poet has used his/her words from a great range of vocabulary. The theme of sadness and depression is very well expressed. The comparisons such as mirror reflection is really unique.
