Bask With a Mask

I am very tiny, yet so cardinal
My role today has been phenomenal
From controlling the spread to a bare minimum
I can save lives, if my use is optimum.

Keep me handy and use me always,
To keep yourself safe from the demon in disguise
Take me along, even with a friend on a pillion ride
The virus doesn’t differentiate, it doesn’t hide.

Made of cloth, or  scientifically layered
Choose the right at the place appropriate
To stop the shower of the virus around
Cover your face and nose, keep it properly bound.

Though a tiny piece, today my worth is priceless
My premature disposal would drop you lifeless.
Take utmost care and stop the temptation to cluster
Your life is precious, and only you can add a lustre.

Heed to science, and listen to the scholars
Never ignore, keep track of the rising numbers.
Anger and anguish is not the answer to the plight
Lend a helping hand, to at least the nearest in sight.

Never let down or loosen your guard, at any time
Roaming around unmasked is indeed a crime!
