Am I A Woman Now?

Mom! Mom!; I screamed so loud,
Just like thunder roaring from that cloud.
Blood! blood! is all I could say,
Stammering, shivering like that hay.
Relax child, stop raising your brow,
Do not worry, You are a woman now!!!

Mom! Mom!; It hurts so bad,
As if someone is churning inside like mad!
Tolerate it, don’t complain,
Pain is a part of our life, so train your brain.
Wipe your tears, You are a woman now!!!

Mom! Mom!; I want to buy this dress.
It’s beautiful & I like its finesse.
Sacrifice your choice child,
Dangers lurk in the wild.
Adjust anyhow, You are a woman now!!

Mom! Mom!; I won this running race,
It’s so empowering to be at that place.
Restrict it, play indoor games,
If you break a leg, whom will you blame?
Be gentle, You are a woman now!!

Mom! Mom!; I am invited to a night out,
Time to enjoy, dance, and shout.
Nights, not safe dear,
Have fear, trust no peer.
Stay alert, You are a woman now!!

Mom! Mom! Stop; give this a thought,
Only if I endure, will always be distraught.
Only if I renounce, will my esteem be sound,
Only if l restrain, will I fly above the ground,
Only if l dread, will I survive the hounds.
Ask yourself; “Am I a woman now???”
