In My View

I’m not being judgmental

It’s my observation,

That no one on this earth

Is worth a blind devotion

Everyone – I mean everyone

Has one or more hidden,

In his cupboard, skeleton, that’ll

One day tumble out all of a sudden

All of them have shining facade,

When I look below the surface,

And as the buffing wears off,

Nowhere real gold’s any trace

They say ‘familiarity breeds contempt’

I agree with this adage,

Too much closeness is disastrous,

Distorts the picture of the page

Let’s admire people from far,

Keeping a safe distance,

Else, we are bound to find faults,

I stand by my utterance
