The disputed structure of Babri Masjid in Ajodhya
was built on birthplace of Lord Ram.
Hindus believe that location of birthplace of Lord
Ram is mentioned in the religious books.
Therefore, evidence was essential to get disputed site
in Ajodhya for the construction of a Ram temple.
Sunni Waqf Board had failed to establish right over
mosque or through adverse possession.
Chief Justice of India announced its verdict
on 09 November 2019 about birthplace of Lord Ram.
The verdict came as no surprise for either Hindus or
Muslims, even the decision was welcomed by all.
This decision perhaps helped both Muslims and Hindus
who expected the verdict should go in this direction.
People appealed to consider this as a decision of God and
the legal battle should not be looked like a battle of prestige.
The Supreme Court also ordered five acres of land at an
alternative site to the Sunni Waqf Board in Ajodhya.
“Religious faith of a person is formed on traditions,
religious scriptures, and practices,” said the judge.
It was one of the consequential judgments to construct
a temple on the disputed site in Ajodhya.
