The Resolve

The year 2020 has been a magnificent storyteller. It was a year that taught us to count the blessings and thank for all that we had then to fret and nag about the lacking’s and wanting’s. Then meeting all the wants and cravings showed the way to simple living that helps meet all the essential needs.

If we were to consider the year 2020 as a person, he spoke with his hands with actions and lengthy stories about after effects, real-time stories with humorous metaphors, and twisted plots. There were wit and warmth, there were curse and wrath.

When he ascended here, he was a slimy, green ghost. The one who floats around-consuming everything in sight, everything we breathe, and everything that one touches.

The razor blade is sharp but can’t cut a tree. The axe is strong but can’t cut hair. Meaning, everyone is important according to their own unique purpose and one should not look down on anyone unless admiring their shoes. For all we know, we cannot definitely walk even a few steps in other shows while they’ve walked miles in them.

The vistas are always greener on the other side. Just to quote an example: Some people envied the people working from home for IT firms but only the employees working for that organization knows its perks and detriments.

Some people envied the PSU and government employees but during the pandemic situation, they had to work normally without working from home.

In addition to that, there were a set of people who were happy with their own business or family business that was doing good profit or at least a decent profit.

There was extended hand to help all the needy students and people from all sectors, some understood that any job is better than no job while some could not fulfill the expectation because many issues though having a job in hand.

It was a roller coaster, losing people, losing jobs, pay cuts, people moving away, looking out for jobs, a new academic year, what not? It was a huge wave that just hit on humanity and we all hoped for a breeze and some sunshine.

What happened to the resolution? The crowd remarked.

Speaking about how well we all are accustomed to the new normal with the new accessories that are no more new as it is already in place for almost a year but are there any fear? Apparently, no.

Just like an insect gets used to the regular pesticide that is being used to get rid of it and have gained immunity against it, we humans have decided that Covid-19 – be it an old or new strain will not affect us anymore.

Life seems to be all normal.

However, the caution needs to be there, no matter how strong our immune system is strong and usage of masks and sanitizers;

There should be a healthy diet, a healthy mind, and a healthy body and here it comes- the vaccination.

During the last quarter of last year, there was a ray of hope that there will be breaking news that a vaccine might be on the horizon.

Here it is!
