We hold our nation’s pride
For the fearless leaders that served and died
These fearless leaders steered our nation
To unity and freedom with perfection
For this beautiful land of spirituality
people went through brutality
A union so strong they established
A free India they accomplished
Which still remains distinguished
They took part in the fight
so that we could see the light
The sacrificed their nights
And 72 years later we still remember their plight
