Awakening

I stare unblinking, still,

No deceit, no guile, no lies

An icicle, frozen, tranquil,

Sparkling in open skies

The world is new, tainted no more,

Pristine in the morning light

The tallest peaks, up they soar,

A blushing virgin white!

Glistening waters, standing still,

Lucid like a reverie

Nothing hurts, nothing will,

Behold this bliss I see!

The heavens open up above,

And oh! The tears of joy!

Drenched in boundless, selfless love,

All treachery destroyed!

Resonating promises,

Dreams that shall be willed

A lover’s wish, an angel’s kiss,

Paradise fulfilled!

Not just a vision that I see,

Nor an illusion in the morn

No longer just a fantasy,

A guileless world reborn.
