“While you were sleeping”

We haven’t met for a long time,

In the sea of depression

I was drowning

Half awake throughout the night

Even dreams were hurting

 My eyes, while

You were peacefully sleeping

I counted stars but lost the count

Even lonely moon

Empathized with me, when,

Into the pillows

He saw me,

Silently  weeping

While you were quietly sleeping

I went through emotional tempest

I braved the heavy shower

I measured whole horizon

Kept wandering in love’s desert

Chasing the deer of desires

And unaware of all the din,

You kept blissfully sleeping
