Male Honey Bee

The labyrinth of  a male honey bee voluntarily dying

After its mating with queen bee while flying

Like parasite living on others sweat of labour

Deeply mindblowing, unfathomable, a  riddle to answer.

In a beehive dwells queen along with numerous male bees

A herd of other bees there remain busy , have keys

For peace and prosperity of all ,overlook any tease

Gather they honey, protect all selflessly  and please.

Queen bee when longs for sexual pleasure

It goes up straight in the air to show gesture

Male bees compete blindly to mate,  bear torture

Many of them die without accomplishing this venture

Sex may be the fourth  need after food, cloth and shelter

However hugging death as friend is just not caricature

Even the one fortunate male bee who mates, dies sure

No one knows why this enigma happens, no panacea exists for cure.
