The Internet Connection

Windows stay shut for days,

Not the ones on my laptop.

The screen in front is a maze,

Stretching without a stop.

I look for pictures of skies,

Trying to heal a heavy mind.

Words interwoven that rhyme,

Arouse my attention just fine.

I barely remember the time,

When smell of books was happiness.

My phone will simply suffice,

Since all I need now is a PDF.

All these people around me,

Are looking for true attention.

Their short lives thrive merely,

Upon the internet connection.
