How  can  I  sing  a  song  of  joy

While   my   heart  is  full  of  pain

How  do  I  prance  around  as  a  peacock

When  I  find  my  ankles  are  in  chain

I  see  my  friends  sway  with  music

Tapping  their  feet  with  dance  steps

I  am  there  in  a brooding    mood

Crooning   a   soulful   dirge  in  depth

Music    is   a   vital  part   of  my   soul

Music   touches   my  heart   strings

When   sorrow   engulfs   my  life,  I

Pick up my  guitar and  start strumming

But  the  melody  is  glum  and   sad,

Spreading   darkish  soulful   tunes

Makes   flowers  wilt  and  rivulets  lilt

Colouring  lagoons  and  gritty  sand-dunes

I  may  be  down  the  dump  for a while

My  sunny  days, may  be swallowed  by  night

Magic  of  music  may  revamp  the  scene
