Stray Dogs Vs Man Disguised

By Shobha Diwakar

They say man is a social animal. For long have we heard this but lately I have concluded that he is not. In fact, he is the very devil incarnate; a wild animal in a donkey’s hide, or…shall I say …a pig’s hide?  A regular menace to society under the influence of venomous drugs and alcohol to boost his stagnant starving ‘slush’ and perverted dehydrated sexual cravings.

Is there any day that the news headlines on National TV channels and national newspapers do not brazenly report such indecent incidents that are not rare in either India or any other parts of the world. It seems as though headlines can only be feasible and considered entertaining if there are cases of rapes   announced repeatedly in different ways of offensive presentations. If the reporting of the racing news involves a three or four year old innocent babe, it makes it is made all the more sensational. If it is concerned with a young school or college going adolescent, it is definitely a foul affair or a love triangle or whatever for that matter. If a married woman, accompanied by her brother, daughter or her husband is  ‘hacked’ off, the disastrous news offers greater entertainment to mediocre heads and gossip-mongers. It  attracts attention because the young teenager, and adolescent unemployed, or depraved juvenile or a ‘gunda’ of any age (even a middle aged or an old man), under his drunken influence, grabs hold of a girl to   seduce and molest. He is aware by the time the crime is reported the scoundrel is far away from anyone’s reach. The constant airing of such news is neither appealing to the ears nor does it send a rational message to the public. It is necessary to use discretion… or is this… a TRP stunt? Is there no other national / international news that deserves more attention?

It is a well- known fact that in the animal world there is more discipline. An animal never kills if it has already hunted its food and its stomach is full. No animal mates as frequently as man does because it is for them (the animal), a seasonal fervor unlike in the human world where there is a rampant immoral spurt of sex in and out of wedlock. Man in the modern world has lost his moral values and so he is on the hunt to defile tender lives, while even an animal spares the young! It was believed that sex education in schools would warn and teach students of its ill consequences however, the so- called lessons have become a trial period for immature as well as mature minds. This lavish drilling has only created awareness in the wrong direction as these ill-fed rascals have resorted atavistically to savagery. Nirbhaya case is the epitome of such gross brutality. Why are such maniacs let off on flimsy excuses like being a juvenile when the crime is so heinous? No wonder it is said verily, ‘law is blind’… (kaanoon andha hai)

  1. Dr Diwakar has clearly shown what our media enjoys writing about. Reading the Newspaper in the morning makes one feel not only very angry but sick too for it mainly talks about rape, molestation, murder, theft… nothing very interesting to begin your day with. Such news nowadays comes under the category of ‘Breaking News.’ It should be B News only when some capital punishment is given to these hoodlums for their disgusting act. Recently some boys not only raped but took a video & uploaded it..read it in a newspaper. These aren’t innocent people but those who get a kick out of such filthy acts..if a kick is what they want then it should be given to them in the form of severe punishment so that they don’t ever dare to commit such a crime again.

  2. thank you mrs bannore for your wise interpretation of such foul acts more broadly
all that the news readers and reporters seem to be interested is in reporting and announcing these disgusting and unpalatable incidents in what they consider to be thrilling and sensational, thus poisoning immature / mature minds
