Island

I  saw  you

In  the  mirror

Beyond

The  barrier  of  glass

That  prevents  me

From  reaching  out

To  you

Now  or  ever  alas

Who  confined  you

Inside  the  frame

To  make  you  unreachable

Who  could  use

Such  ploy  and  play

Such  cruel  game

I  broke  the  mirror  and

In  nothingness  groped

Suddenly, umpteen  faces

Stared  at  me

From  the  shattered

 Mirror  I’d  dropped

I  still  cannot  own  you

As  one  or

Even  as  thousand

I  am  in  a  sea  of

Loneliness

With  no  shore,

Nor  a  beach,

Just  an

Isolated  island
