I am not Religious

I’m  not    religious,

Gave up religion,

Saw it’s futility

Visualised  rituals’

Reality

Empty  preachings

Biased  teachings

Justifying  wrong  deeds

Condemning  all

Corporal  needs

Now  I  think

What  I  did  was  right

When  I  see

The  gruesome  sight

Of  blood  and  gore

Dead  and  maimed

And  much  more

Tearful  eyes

Heart rending  cries

All  that  happening

In  the  name  of  God

I  cannot  be

A  part  of  this  fraud

If  terror  emanates

From  a  book

That  must  have  been

Inked  by  a crook

I  find  it  superfluous

I’m  not  at  all  religious
